Recommend Customers (Nearest Job Finder)
The Smart Route Fill feature helps you quickly fill open spots on a technician’s route by identifying the most efficient jobs to add, based on proximity and timing. Instead of manually searching for nearby customers, the system automatically surfaces the best options that minimize drive time and maximize productivity.
What This Feature Does
When you click on an open spot in a route, the system:
Looks at the previous job location
Searches for customers with due jobs within a selected date range
Calculates which jobs are closest geographically
Returns a list of jobs that will add the least amount of drive time
This allows you to make fast, data-driven decisions when building or optimizing routes.

Go to Routing → Calendar
Select the route you are working on
Click on an open spot in the route
In the Recommend Customer popup:
Select a date range to search for due jobs

How Jobs Are Selected
The system prioritizes:
Proximity to the previous job
